We are thrilled to launch our exciting “Volunteers to Lifesavers” campaign—a special initiative designed not only to bolster our lifesaving blood bank drives but also to spark a wave of awareness among Australia’s youngest and brightest minds about the power of blood donation. 🩸🙌 See Footnote

Why We’re Doing This

In the spirit of giving and community service, our campaign aims to transform everyday volunteers into real-life lifesavers. Blood donation is a critical part of our healthcare system, supporting everything from emergency surgeries to ongoing treatments for chronic diseases. Yet, there remains a vital need for more donors. 🏥❤️

That’s why this Volunteers Week, we’re not stopping at just recruiting new donors; we’re taking a bold step forward by reaching out to the next generation—our wonderful school students in stages 2 and 3. Through interactive workshops and engaging educational sessions, we’re on a mission to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation from an early age. 📚👧👦See who can donate here 

What’s Happening?

1. Blood Drives: We’re organising multiple blood drives throughout the Kiama Local Government Area. Whether you’re a seasoned donor or a first-timer ready to roll up your sleeve, your contribution is vital. 🌍
2. Educational Push: We’ve tailored an innovative lesson plan that’s fun and informative, aimed at teaching young students the significance of donating blood and how it saves lives. With the help of local schools, we’re nurturing future generations of donors. 🎓
3. Community Engagement: Expect to see us around, in schools, community centres and local businesses, spreading the word and encouraging everyone to get involved. 🤝
